PUB PRESS RELEASE Newfoundland Power ~ General Rate Review - Decision and Order - December 24, 2009 The Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities today issued Order Nos. P.U. 46(2009) and P.U. 47(2009), as well as its Reasons for Decision in connection with Order No. P.U. 43(2009), approving final rates for Newfoundland Power and certain Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro customers. These final rates will take effect January 1, 2010 and reflect an overall average increase of 3.5% in Newfoundland Power’s rates.
