Home - Petroleum Products - Weekly Adjustments

Maximum prices are adjusted on a weekly basis, every Thursday. The scheduled weekly adjustment on Thursday is based on an average of the daily benchmark prices over the period from the previous Wednesday to Tuesday. The weekly maximum price adjustments come into effect on Thursday, at 12:01.

When the Board became responsible for the regulation of petroleum prices in 2004 maximum prices adjustments were made once a month. In November 2006 the price adjustment schedule was changed to bi-weekly, with new maximum prices effective every second Thursday. Weekly adjustment of maximum prices began in 2010, with new maximum prices effective every Thursday.
