The Board of Commissioners of Public
Utilities today released further updates concerning the public hearing into
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro’s application for a General Rate Review. The public hearing is set to begin on
September 24, 2001 in St. John’s.
The Board has now scheduled Public
Participation Days in various locations to provide an opportunity for
interested persons or organizations throughout the province to express their
views to the Board on the application.

The Board also released today an amendment to Procedural Order P.U. 7 (2001-2002). Procedural Order P.U. 7 (2001-2002) stemmed from the Board’s Pre-Hearing Conference held on July 5, 2001, and provided notification of registered intervenors, schedule of dates and procedures governing the hearing. The amending Procedural Order No. P.U. 18 (2001-2002) reflects decisions of the Board arising from Motions Days held on July 18, 2001 and August 29, 2001 and serves to further clarify hearing procedures.
